We just had good luck submitting to ehub, which was picked up by techcrunch.  Here is how I would list them:

1. Anything really big (NY Times ...etc)
2. Digg
3. TechCrunch
4. Reddit
5. EHub (http://www.emilychang.com/go/ehub/)
6. Mashable (http://mashable.com/)
7. Look around here: http://www.technorati.com/pop/blogs/
