Ben will pay $100.00 to the first person to successfully answer the question:

I lost some data when backing up a smartmedia card from my yamaha motif keyboard to my PC. The file just dissappeared. So I downloaded an undelete program and it found the file, although it was zero bytes in length. however, there were two other files found in the same cluster as the zero length file. These two files were big, but the program could not undelete them because they were assigned to another file. I'm hoping the data can be recovered somehow, but it would most likely require knowlege of the motif synthesizer pattern file format. It's important to me to recover these files. If you can help, I will pay you.

I would try a different undelete program, which might restore it correctly. My personal favorite is "Restauration", it's free, simple and it worked for me. You can download it for free at http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html

If that does not work then you should try "PC Inspector Smart Recovery". You can also download it for free at http://www.snapfiles.com/get/smartrecovery.html

That one is specifically for memory cards. Here is a review:
"The free, Windows-only PC Inspector Smart Recovery software restores deleted data from your camera's memory card. We haven't actually tested this here at Lifehacker, but Of Zen says they recovered 100% of the accidentally erased photos from a 1 GB memory card. Sweet. PC Inspector Smart Recovery is a free download, Windows only." from http://www.lifehacker.com/software/data-recovery/index.php

I hope I could help you!
