I have 2006 gmc sierra 1500 pickup 4x4 auto, gas pedal has free play, seems like about 1/2 - 3/4 before engine responds,moving on highway any speed let off gas and pump pedal seems like more free play in pedal, can dealer use computer to change paremeters to take this slop out, no cable,has drive by wire whats that all about..

usually they can't change that with a computer. i have a camaro that has that same problem all it is, is that the computer in the car takes a while to respond to a certain amount of pressure that is being pplied to the pedal.
