I have a 1990 Honda Accord. Sometimes (but not always) when it is in 4th or 5th gear, traveling at least 55 mph, the front driver's side wheel vibrates violently and shakes the stearing wheel. It has been doing this for at least 4 years now. Several people have looked at it but have not found anything wrong with it. Does anyone have a clue what this might be?

If you have had a wheel alinement and you still have the problem it would have to be either the upper or lower ball joint or the tierod end may need to be replaced. Would not cost much to do.
