Take a look at: http://www.jacketflap.com/profile2.asp?member=bobba 1) View it in Firefox. As you'll see, the side_item DIV is overlapping the sectionheader DIV below it. I've tried applying a clear:right; to the sectionheader, but that bumps it down vertically below the height of the right column. That makes me think something may be unbalanced, but I can't find it. I tried changing the order of the div's in my document so that it's 1-left_column 2-center 3-right_column. Then, having a clear:right; on the sectionehader DIV drops it down below the side_item DIV as expected, but then the right column bumps down vertically below the height of the center column. Argh! How do I fix this? 2) View the same URL in Safari. For some reason, the side_item div is not floating to the right. How do I fix that? Thanks! Now I want to delete the old profiles in the calender, contacts and tasks. I'm referring to on the left of outlook for example for contacts it says My calender and then under it it says "calender and "Exchange calender". I can right click on "calender" and delete the "calender" so only the "Exchange Calander" is left. The problem is I cant do this with the contacts or tasks. When I try to right click on "contacts" or "tasks" the "delete contacts" button is grayed out. How can I delete these other profiles of the contacts and tasks so I can be sure that I wont have duplicates and then I always update everything on the exchange profile. My question has to do with ... http://guruza.com/question/437/reward-5.00 I'm a newbie to RoR's and I'm having fun with it. My question has to do with how to configure a RoR CMS that allows users to publish pages from the CMS to their hosted domain. I want users to be able to login to the CMS to enter their site content. When they create/update information for their site, their domain should be updated as well. NOTE: All users will share the same db tables for storing their information. Originally, I wanted to create static pages in the users domain directory because their pages wouldn't change that often. The static pages would be cached and changed when updated. Now I'm wondering if I should allow users sites to be dynamically generated. I'm not sure which approach would be better or easier to implement. I need to know how to setup or configure my CMS that allows a user to publish to their domain if I decide to publish flat pages to their domain. If I take the dynamic approach, I need to understand how to configure a users domain so that it logs into the database for th user and use their date and the templates that have selected for their web site. Although I'm new to RoR, I'm not new to programming and understand a little bit about servers. It's okay if you get technical. Has anyone figured out a way to get validates_presence_of to work with float, boolean, and integer fields that are defined as non-null in the schema? The problem is, rails intializes these types to the default schema value, which for mysql is never null if the column is not allowed to be null, and as a result they are initialized in the form with a value, and are never null. I found a work around for integers that requires a nasty method override in the ActiveRecord class that sets the default values from the database, but I can not find a solution to do the same for floats because ruby will not let me assign a float to null once it has been initialized with a value. I've started full time employment. It's going pretty good, but I've found myself not knowing what to do with myself when I don't have the deadlines and pressures that come with school. Also, I find myself missing the sense of working towards something. I've been thinking that I need to go back to school and have been leaning heavily towards law school. I've been interested in this for a long time. I find myself following much that the EFF does and would like to be able to do technology law along those lines. 1. Explain to me why I should or should not follow this line of reasoning any further. 2. What are some good ways to discover for myself if this is a good idea? 3. If I do decide this is right for me, where do I get started on the process? 4. If not law school, what should I do to keep myself from becoming another white collar burnout? I may raise it if it proves difficult :) Description: System: Thinkpad T41, intel ipw2100, Ubuntu Dapper (6.06). Everything was fine a few months ago in Hoary and in Breezy. I'm not 100% sure the problems started happening with Dapper, but the timeline fits. The issue is that the wireless network normally works fine for a while (anywhere from 2 minutes to a couple hours), then, out of the blue, I suddenly can't establish any connection to any other hosts, or ping them. Right after the failure, 'iwconfig eth1' reports that I'm associated to my AP (linksys wrt54gc, the essid is 'daigle' and there's no encryption, not that that makes any difference in the occurence of this problem), with a connection quality of around 85%, standard for my apartment. 'ifconfig eth1' reports that I still have my DHCP-assigned IP, in the 192.168.1. subnet. At this point I can't establish any TCP connections, nor can I ping anything on my LAN. It gets interesting though: I can kill any running dhclient processes and restart one (or do an ifdown / ifup, which does a release followed by a renew), and I apparently get a DHCPOffer. I get my IP back, meaning somehow broadcast packets are going through, but I still can't connect to anything.
